Sam pulls the amulet out of his backpack and sees the confusion in Dean’s eyes melt and turn into wonder. He holds the chain in the air and watches it swing softly.
A small, but genuine smile forms on Dean’s face. “You… I didn’t know…”
Sam shrugs, tries to pretend that it’s not that big of a deal, but they both know it is, both know what the amulet represents. “Thought you might want it back. One day, when you’re ready.”
Dean holds out his hand and Sam drops the amulet into his upturned palm. He watches Dean play with the chain for a moment, eyes suspiciously bright.
Dean clears his throat, but doesn’t look at his younger brother. When he speaks, his voice is thick with emotion. “Thank you, Sammy.”
Sam turns his head away, a bit embarrassed, but smiles nonetheless.

30 days of wincest - Day 4 Favorite season 2 moment -> 2x09 “Croatoan”
Because I kinda took out all the words from this conversation, yet still you can understand the whole talk without a problem. And also it’s Dean who wants to die with Sammy - because there are two of them, and everything they do, they do it together.
Say what you will, but their love literally saved the world. It fucking defeated Satan.

“They drove a thousand miles for an Ozzy show. Two days for a Jayhawks game. And when it was clear, they’d park her in the middle of nowhere, sit on the hood, and watch the stars… for hours… without saying a word. It never occurred to them that, sure, maybe they never really had a roof and four walls but they were never, in fact, homeless.”
